President's Message

Hello everyone,

My name is Chaimaa ELFILALI, and I am the President of the association Rescue Animal Morocco. My unconditional love for animals began in early childhood. Since adopting my first kitten at the age of three, my passion for their well-being has only grown stronger. This passion led me to become involved in animal rescue at a very young age. I still remember the day I rescued an injured kitten—a moment that marked the beginning of a deep and lasting vocation.

Over the years, my determination to protect animals has only intensified. Faced with the harsh reality of animal conditions in Morocco—abandoned and often victims of abuse—I felt compelled to take action. That is why I founded Rescue Animal Morocco: to save these precious four-legged companions and give them a second chance at life. My association is dedicated to rescuing animals in distress, providing medical care, and finding them loving homes. I work tirelessly to raise public awareness of the animal cause and to promote concrete actions in favor of their protection.

I also work with authorities to propose innovative and humane solutions to the issue of stray animals, such as transforming municipal pounds into care and rehabilitation centers, organizing vaccination, castration, and sterilization campaigns to reduce overpopulation, and creating large, secure sanctuaries on the outskirts of cities. Additionally, I advocate for the placement of seized horses in equestrian clubs or to reintegrate them into carriage work, as is done in Marrakech. This would both ease the animals' suffering and support the work of cart drivers—who could be provided with matching uniforms, which also presents a beautiful image. Unfortunately, despite my efforts and ongoing advocacy, change remains slow. Animals continue to suffer in general indifference, while the time has come to act decisively.

Our country—and indeed our Muslim faith—calls for kindness toward animals. It is essential that we act in accordance with these values rather than resorting to inhumane elimination.

In addition to my work with animals, part of the association’s income is dedicated to helping those in need, especially children with disabilities or undergoing cancer treatment. Volunteering has always been at the heart of my actions, and helping those in need is a cause very close to my heart. Your support not only helps save animals, but also brings hope and comfort to children who desperately need it.

This is why I am reaching out to ask for your help. Together, we can make a difference and offer a better future to these vulnerable animals. Every donation matters. Every act of solidarity moves this cause forward. I invite you to join me in this noble mission. Together, we can save lives and build a better world for all living beings.

Respectfully,

Chaimaa ELFILALI,
President of Rescue Animal Morocco 🐾
